Interiors and Gardens

In London and East Suffolk

My  background is in theatre design (I read drama, English and History at Bristol University. More details are available on the theatre biography page).

About 10 years ago I had the opportunity to design an Interior and a garden, which led to further commissions. I have found that the theatre background has been invaluable. Working with a client is very similar to working with a director, in terms of trying to ascertain their wishes. I try to make the design personal to the client rather than imposing my own style. I am used to working as part of a team and cajoling work out of people, with a constant awareness of deadlines to be met. I am also used to working to budget and have a very good knowledge of materials and sources.

Work in London has been mainly in and around Kensington and Belgravia. More recently I have been designing in Aldeburgh, Suffolk.
